Most Reverend Alexander K. Sample, the Archbishop of Portland in Oregon, extends a prayer of hope as we are called by our faith to help our neighbors in times of suffering

Posted by | Catholic Charities of Oregon

On March 13, 2021 we gathered together virtually for our annual Celebration of Hope gala to spread goodwill and assist our brothers and sisters in greatest need. During the gala the Most Reverend Alexander K. Sample, Archbishop of Portland in Oregon, shared a message of hope for our community as we continue to support our fellow Oregonians who have suffered from the many trials and tragedies of 2020 and extended a blessing to all those in need that Catholic Charities may be an instrument of healing.

Inspired by the transformative power of God’s love, Catholic Charities of Oregon partners with the most vulnerable, regardless of faith, to achieve lasting solutions to poverty and injustice. We are a beacon of hope in the community and show love, compassion, and support to our neighbors in times of suffering. After a year like 2020, the need for our work only continues to grow.

As faith partners with a shared mission, the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon has continuously partnered with us as we address prominent issues in our community and make a difference in the lives of those who need our services the most. We are grateful for Archbishop Sample’s faithful support as we work to provide lifesaving services to those in greatest need and help Oregonians, on the path to recovery, rebuild their lives.

Please join us in any way you’re able, so Oregon can continue to thrive and support and comfort those who call our state “home”.
