Francis and Clare Place

Catholic Charities of Oregon, in partnership with the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, is proud to bring forward Francis + Clare Place which will provide 61 units of affordable, Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) less than two miles from Catholic Charities of Oregon’s headquarters.

74th & Glisan

Located at 74th and Glisan, Catholic Charities of Oregon, Related Northwest, and IRCO are partnering to develop 137 units of affordable and supportive housing in Montavilla serving families, immigrant and refugee households, and people exiting homelessness.

Chiles House

(Formerly known as The Annex) Located in SE Portland, Chiles House will help close a gaping hole in Portland’s social safety net and fill a critical need for the growing number of Catholic Charities clients who find themselves houseless or at imminent risk. Chiles House will offer 27 highly affordable apartments for whom rapid recovery…

Good Shepherd Village

As the first regulated affordable housing development within the city limits of Happy Valley, Good Shepherd Village will include units of Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) for those who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness, including 15 units prioritized for veterans  who have experienced homelessness.

Cathedral Village

Located steps from historic downtown St. Johns in North Portland, Cathedral Village Apartments is made up of 110 units of safe, affordable, and equitable family housing, serving a range of low-income neighbors in need, including communities of color, immigrants and refugees, and those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Without Chiles House, Aman would have been living on the streets, battling his PTSD alone and facing the additional trauma of homelessness. Thanks to Chiles House, Aman now has a safe place to heal and has access to counseling right next door at Catholic Charities’ headquarters.

The Housing Transitions Program (HTP) operates on the Housing First model that prioritizes finding permanent housing as quickly as possible, providing supportive services as needed. Everyone’s path at Catholic Charities is different and Darla’s story is a beautiful example of a Catholic Charities client’s journey into permanent housing.
