Catholic Charities Holds First Annual Event for Immigration & Refugee Services

On May 21, Catholic Charities held its first annual “Everyone Comes From Somewhere” event. The fundraising brunch took place at the beautiful Pure Space in Portland, and was a joint effort between the Refugee Resettlement Program and Immigration Legal Services team.

The gathering offered the opportunity to recognize the valuable effort from long standing partners, such as the Oregon Law Foundation, Holy Trinity Church and Marandas & Sinlapsai. More than $40,000 was raised to support the important work in these programs.

The event also honored the family of Lillian Perez, who reunited with her children after 12 years with the help of the ILS and the Refugee Resettlement teams.
