Gloria Wiggins of Catholic Charities wins 16th Annual Gladys McCoy Award from Multnomah County

Gloria Wiggins, Division Manager of El Programa Hispano at Catholic Charities, has been advocating for equality throughout Multnomah County for the last 10 years. In so doing, she has made significant positive change. In the Latino community, she has tirelessly promoted culturally-specific service delivery, advanced understanding of the community’s diverse cultures and backgrounds, and worked for policy change with issues like domestic violence and academic performance improvement. Catholic Charities is now Recycle-at-Work Certified by City of Portland

Catholic Charities is now Recycle-at-Work Certified by the City of Portland. This means that the organization has improved its recycling practices and reduced the amount of waste it produces by implementing all of the City of Portland’s five recycling steps. For more information, click here.

El Programa Hispano's Project UNICA Highlighted in Catholic Sentinel

Project UNICA, a program of Catholic Charities' El Programa Hispano, was recently featured in the Catholic Sentinel. Project UNICA provides advocacy services for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse and staffs a 24-hour spanish-language crisis line. To read the article in the Catholic Sentinel, click here.
