Donate By Phone or Mail

Workplace Giving Opportunities
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Contact your company for details and necessary forms. Catholic Charities can be selected as a United Way Donor Choice Option - just write Catholic Charities, Portland, Oregon on your United Way contribution form. Catholic Charities also participates in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) for employees of the Federal Government. Our four digit CFC number is 3115.
Gifts of Stocks, Bonds and Mutual Funds
Gifts of marketable securities or other assets are welcome and appreciated. These types of gifts may also enable you to avoid paying capital gains tax. The process is simple - just call or write your broker and instruct them to transfer the securities you wish to donate to our brokerage account as follows:

Charitable Gift Annuities
Catholic Charities offers charitable gift annuities which allow you to receive an attractive lifetime income for yourself, and another person if you wish. You will be entitled to a tax deduction for a portion of the gift when it is made, and the income you receive may be partially tax free, depending on the structure of the gift.
Planned Estate Gifts
You can create a lasting legacy of care and hope for the poor by including Catholic Charities in you will or estate plan, or naming us as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy. Your gift is placed into our endowment fund and earnings from the endowment are then available each year beyond your lifetime to fund Catholic Charities programs for profoundly disadvantaged people. Memorial and Honorarium Gifts
You can make a gift to Catholic Charities in memory of a friend or loved one who has passed away or in honor of someone on a special occasion. We will send an acknowledgement of your gift (but not the amount) to the person you specify to receive notification. Please include their name and address and the type of acknowledgement you desire: In memory of (name of deceased), or, In honor of (specify birthday, wedding, anniversary, etc.).
Donate a Car, Boat or RV
You can donate your car, boat or recreational vehicle, whether it is running or not, to Catholic Charities. The proceeds from the sale will be utilized to fund our programs and services for the disadvantaged people we assist. We can arrange to have your vehicle towed at no cost to you.
